Week 8 (3/3 – 3/9)
We soldered and mounted runway lights onto the arm of the robot. We are going to use these in competition to communicate with the drivers. We received power for the neopixels from the Power Distribution Hub which is then put through a DC to DC converter. The signals are coming from the Roborio and the software subteam is working out the code for this. We are also attaching a neopixel tower for the human player, and plan on having this in the same circuit as the runway lights.
We soldered 4 wires onto 2 LiDAR sensors, and added pins to another LiDAR sensor. These sensors were used for testing, and determining whether the sensor could be used during competition. The sensor was also placed into a newly printed box.
