Who We Are
We are a FIRST Robotics team located in Boxborough, MA. We compete in FRC events organized by FIRST. During the build season from January to March, we design, build, and develop a robot to use in competitions. Through this process, we not only gain technical expertise, we also learn FIRST core values such as cooperation and gracious professionalism.
Upcoming Events
During the week of 07/27–07/31/2026, we are running a FREE Robotics Jump Start workshop at YMCA Lowell. We’ll be teaching the basics of FIRST Lego League (FLL), such as designing and building a robot, creating attachments, coding, and navigation. This event will be hosted at YMCA Lowell from July 27 to July 31, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
On June 13 (1:00 pm – 3:00 pm), we will be hosting the STARS event (FLL Scrimmage). We are excited to host this Scrimmage, where we will have robot runs, awards, and activities! This event will be hosted at 85 Swanson Road Boxborough MA. Stormgears FLL teams, come join us!
Team Trainings
We will train Solidworks CAD skills for FRC robotics design. Students learn basic Solidworks functionality’s on their own pace according to the provided guidelines. They will be able to make simple parts on their own. Mentor and peer students face to face instruction and help is provided on each weekend. More formal CAD trainings will be provided in August, which will cover design and how to work in assemblies. The scheduled training times and QA sections can be found by checking the team Calender.
